Ian Doty is a Researcher at Heidrick & Struggles, the premier provider of senior-level executive search services. As a member of the Financial Officers Practice, Ian partners with clients to find transformational finance talent.
Ian works with clients across industries, including in PE-backed, pre-IPO, and publicly-traded environments.
Ian is a graduate from the College of William & Mary/University of St Andrews Joint Degree Programme. After finishing university, Ian worked in politics before joining Heidrick & Struggles.At the firm, Ian supports the Financial Officers Practice, working with consultants to execute on searches, grow the firm's business and create a strong practice-wide analytical foundation.Ian was a Congressional intern in the Office of Congresswoman Lizzie Fletcher (D-TX-07), and previously served the Vice Chair of Democrats Abroad - Scotland, where he led the largest youth turnout in Democrats Abroad history.Outside of work, Ian volunteers heavily. He serves on the William & Mary Alumni Association Board of Director, as the Co-Chair of the William & Mary Young Guarde Council, and as a board member of the St Andrews DC Alumni Club.
